First results of IPR4SC survey on the skills, competencies and needs of IPR 2022-12-05

The survey was opened from the end of September and targeted seven project main target groups – Higher Education Institutions (HEI) Students, HEI Professors, Vocational Education Training (VET) Learners, VET Teachers, Small and Medium Enterprises dealing with deep tech, Innovative Start-ups, Technology Transfer Offices, and related support organizations and experts.

Until the closing of the survey, we received 632 total valid responses (469 completed and 163 partially completed) out of 1769 total surveyed responses. Considering the number of questionnaires that we promised to disseminate in our Application Form (in total 1010), we exceeded this plan. Among the defined target groups the highest percentage of valid responses comes from university students (45,7%), small and medium enterprises (21,0%), university lecturers (15,3%), followed by VET learners (7,8%), VET trainers (3,1%), TTO’s (3,1%) and attorneys (0,2%), other groups represent 3,9%.
Taking into account the time available and the length and complexity of the survey we are satisfied with these results which will be analyzed more in detail for the preparation of the joint report on skills, needs and competencies by the Slovenian partner Faculty for Information Studies, as an important ground for the next work packages.
