Results from a Circular Economy Survey Presented in Helgeland 2023-12-15

At the beginning of December, the IPR4SC partners in Norway presented the results from research that surveyed local industry actors on their readiness for circular economy transformation. The survey gathered information about the circular activities of industrial firms, their plans for circular development over the next five years, and drivers and barriers. Among the findings is a clear message that regional firms plan to implement further circular strategies demanding innovation activities, including developing products, processes, and supply chains. The findings further show that access to knowledge is one of the main barriers to circular development. The discussion included the role of IPR in protecting innovations and as a source of information about existing solutions. The presentation was part of an ongoing collaboration between the IPR4SC partners and the local industry cluster focusing on Circular Economy development and innovation in the region.
