Teaching Sustainability and Circularity

Intellectual property (IP) is becoming a trending concept in the current legal and innovation landscapes. Teaching about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), IP use for sustainability, and IP data through innovative pedagogical approaches is essential for equipping students with the necessary skills to understand and manage it for business benefits. Novel pedagogical methods, such as project-based learning and case studies, can be employed to enhance the learning experience.
These methods encourage active engagement and practical understanding of IP concepts. For instance, using real-world case studies allows students to analyze and discuss the implications of IPR for circular economies and green innovations. Project-based learning can involve students in developing their own ideas and inventions by consulting insights from IP analysis in real-time. By integrating these innovative approaches, educators can foster a deeper understanding of IP management's role in promoting equitable digital and green transformations, ensuring that students are well-prepared to contribute to a socially inclusive and sustainable future.
